SAFETY RULES!

BIG TIME INFLATABLES' equipment is safe as long as you follow these simple important rules!  We are also the only S.I.O.T.O. Advanced (Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization) approved operator in the state of Montana.  We are committed to the safety of you and your guests!

  1. A responsible ADULT must supervise the Inflatable ride at all times.

  2. Do not allow children to enter the inflatable without CONSTANT ADULT supervision.
  3. All riders must remove shoes, jewelry, eyeglasses, combs, pens, hair clips or any other sharp or hard objects that may cause injury to other children or the inflatable prior to entering the inflatable.
  4. Absolutely NO Food, Drink, Gum, Pets or Silly String inside or near the Inflatable.
  5. When riders are in the Inflatable, there should be NO flips, wrestling, running, pushing, climbing on the net  walls or any other aggressive behavior that could injure other children.  Do not let riders bounce against the sides or entrance.
  6. Only children of compatible age and size should be in the unit at the same time.  Mixing children of different sizes will greatly increase the risk of injury.
  7. It is best if children do not sit or lay down while other children are bouncing around them.
  8. STOP the children from bouncing and have them exit the inflatable if winds exceed 20 MPH or if starts to rain, or if any other condition exists which may cause an unsafe or questionable condition.  Once all children have exited, turn the blower motor off, unplug and wait for the weather to subside or for any other adverse condition to change before allowing children to use the unit.  If it rained, dry the blower motor with towels before turning it back on.
  9. If the blower stops or does not fully inflate the unit:  Have the children calmly exit the inflatable while you help them out.  Most often the cause is an overloaded circuit, an electrical cord has come out of the receptacle, the blower motor has come off of the inflatable or debris has clogged the blower intake. Reset the circuit breaker and make sure the blower is on a dedicated circuit, re-attach the electrical cords, reattach the inflation tube to the blower or clear any debris away from the intake on the blower.
  10. DO NOT attempt to move the Inflatable or Blower once it has been set up by our trained crews.
  11. FAILURE TO USE SOUND JUDGMENT AND TO FOLLOW THE SAFETY RULES CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. THE OPERATOR SHOULD ALWAYS INSURE THE UNIT IS PROPERLY SUPERVISED AND ALL SAFETY RULES ARE FOLLOWED.

SAFETY BEGINS AND ENDS WITH YOU!

Big Time Inflatables, LLC Montana's only Certified Advanced Certificate Holder!

Advanced Inflatable Safety Operations Certification, the final certification for operators requires the same high standards of testing in order to display this seal for those offering everything the BISOC  offers along with inflatables that create interaction between participants, obstacle courses, larger slides, inflatable carnival games and more.  These units include jousts, bungee runs, boxing, and other units requiring person to person contact or interaction.  The most difficult of units to operate, and the hardest level to achieve sets these advanced members at the top of our industry.

Before you even commit to an operator you need to ask a few basic questions:

  1. Are they insured and will they supply a copy of the insurance certificate?
Are they trained/experienced in inflatable operations?

  2. What safety measures do they provide YOU with?

Price should not even be a consideration!

After the operator arrives, they should do the following and it is your job to pay attention to help make sure its done properly.

  1. A tarp should be placed on the ground to protect the bottom of the unit.
The unit should be staked down or heavily weighted down with ground    weights or sandbags.
When the unit is inflated make sure there are no rips or holes visible.
Make sure the unit is fully inflated and not sagging anywhere.

  2. The operator MUST cover all operating and safety procedures verbally, and should leave printed instructions as well.

It is your responsibility to ask questions if you do not understand anything particular.

After the operator leaves, you should always:

  1. Attend the unit at all times.
Keep children age 3 and under OUT of the unit.
Make sure all children are grouped according to SIZE.
DO NOT exceed the maximum ride capacity at any time.
Perform safety checks of the equipment frequently. Operators will show you how.
Turn the unit off during inclement weather or high winds.
Seek medical attention for ALL injuries IF they occur.

  2. Follow ALL posted safety rules at all times.
